Theft threat or urban legend?

There is no certainty that the symbols that appear in Ursynów are special signs used by thieves. However, information about this type of code appears from time to time. A few years ago, Lancashire Police allegedly published a list of signs that robbers are to use - they are supposed to convey information such as "alarm installed", "nothing of value" or "already robbed". Has the publication of the British media been reliably verified? It is difficult to assess it unequivocally, but it is possible that the thieves somehow mark the premises that are to be stolen.

There is no denying that opportunity makes the thief. Internet forums are full of entries in which apartment owners write about robbery attempts. - Someone knocked and without waiting for any reaction immediately grabbed the handle trying to open the door - reports one of the Internet users. "In Piątkowo, someone without a shirt grabs the door handles in the middle of the night" - recently reported the Poznań "Wyborcza". Telewizja Polska also reported on attempted burglary preceded by pulling the door handle - this time the incident that scared the still-asleep tenants took place in Warsaw. Property owners should be much more afraid of an unlocked door than mysterious signs.
