"We are not demolishing Atrium Targówek." What does the investor mean?

The atrium of Targówek will be demolished. The program concept does not say anything about phasing the investment. This phase does not cover the issue of buildings, their size, location and mutual relationships. They are the subject of an architectural concept, which is created only after the adoption of a new local spatial development plan.

"Regeneration and programming". What does it mean?

Atrium writes that "in each of the program variants of the regeneration of the buildings on the ground floor and on the first floor, the current shopping center with all functions and tenants is programmed". The sentence shows that the owner is considering moving the shops and outlets operating in Atrium Targówek to the first two floors of new buildings planned to replace the existing shopping center. This is confirmed by the aforementioned visualization, presented at the meeting of the Warsaw Council committee.

At the same time, Graham Kilbane from Atrium Group told us that "Atrium Group does not plan to demolish its retail facilities in Poland" and "Atrium's goal is to transform retail facilities into multifunctional district centers by adding new residential, office or entertainment." This can be perceived as an announcement of the expansion of the shopping center with additional storeys. Regardless of which version is more likely today, one fact remains: Atrium is considering building flats and offices next to the Głębocka interchange with the S8 (Toruńska) route.
