The official TWRP application has just appeared in the Google Play store, which will allow us to facilitate the whole process, find and install alternative recovery for our device.This is the first program of this type created by Teamwin, which, however, does not mean that the first one at all.Similar solutions have already appeared earlier.So far, however, none has supported such a large number of devices.In addition, the official application does not have any ads and remains completely free.In time, it will probably also have additional functions.

The program supports the most popular devices of such brands as Samsung, LG, HTC, Sony, Motorola, Asus and Huawei.In the case of most of them we will find a wide range of smartphones, but for those less popular, support for just a few models has been prepared.However, there were also operation of niche devices, such as Android One models or Google Pixel devices released only a few months ago.

For action, however, root is necessary, which is somewhat questioned in the usefulness of the program.As if you think about, the whole process can be carried out by a circular path and using the Windows application to perform all activities at once: get root rights, unlock the bootloader and finally upload Custom Recovery.This does not mean, however, that the TWRP application will not be useful to us in such a situation.With its help, we can constantly update our recovery, which is an equally important issue when experimenting with alternative ROMs

Of course, it is worth remembering that any interference in our smartphone software may result in loss of warranty, so we do it at our own risk.Practice shows, however, that for many devices this is still the only way to get newer versions of Android, and sometimes even normal action.During all these years, little has changed in this field and burying in the system is still profitable in most cases.I would say that it is even worse, because many companies covering themselves with security even hinders this type of activity.
