Probably never in the history of the English Premier League has the press been so bad as in recent times. Not so long ago, there was a lot of talk about the disgusting behavior that Manchester United player Mason Greenwood was supposed to have committed towards his partner. The materials published by the woman show that she was to be a victim of physical violence and rape.

The repressions were immediate. The club suspended the player, his character was immediately removed from FIFA 22, and in addition, fans who previously purchased T-shirts with his name on them can exchange them free of charge in the club shop.

Another player in the English Premier League, Benjamin Mendy, was also accused of numerous rapes. The French who plays in the team from the blue part of Manchester on a daily basis was to commit as many as 7 rapes.

Another ace from the English pitches is Gylfi Sigurdsson. The player has already left the arrest after pleading guilty. And he was accused of… pedophilia. In the near future, we can expect high-profile lawsuits, multi-million lawsuits brought by clubs for loss of image and termination of contracts due to the players' fault.

The bullying of animals is extremely disgusting

French midfielder Kurt Zouma, who plays for West Ham, has also apparently wanted to be infamous. A footballer who has abused his animals has joined the Premier League's team of criminals now consisting of rapists and a pedophile. A recording of the abuse of, inter alia, copies of a Bengal cat.

The case was dealt with by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, which took over the care of two Bengal cats belonging to the competitor. In addition, Adidas also withdrew from cooperation with the player. Such a large enterprise cannot afford to be represented by a person acting in this way. Additionally, other sponsors, ie Vitality, suspended cooperation with the entire team.

The footballer via his social media published a statement:

- There is no excuse for my behavior. I sincerely apologize to anyone who felt offended by this film. I can assure everyone that our two cats are completely healthy, loved and respected by the whole family.

Indeed, I have not yet come across such a custom, a culture in which digging would mean showing love and respect. Well, I didn't see much, apparently.

What are the risks of animal abuse?

If we get carried away a bit by our fantasies and imagine that Kurt Zouma does not play football in London on a daily basis, but, for example, in Nieciecza or other Lublin, then we will be able to consider the size of the penalty and responsibility that the bullying perpetrator would have to face on the basis of the Polish legal system.

The animal abuser is a criminal. So he will be punished for his actions. For bullying an animal - it is hard to find a different interpretation of the kicks visible in the film - is punishable by imprisonment of up to 3 years. Moreover, the punishment may actually be longer if the perpetrator's action is given the attribute of acting with particular cruelty. This may result in up to 5 years' imprisonment.

As a rule, notifications of crimes committed on animals are submitted by social organizations, i.e. foundations or associations whose statutory goal is to protect animal rights. In the UK, one such entity is the Royal Society for the Prevention of Animal Cruelty. It remains to be hoped that the player will bear the penalty indicated in the British regulations, because we should all be equal before the law.
