Such a solution is introduced by the Department of Civil Affairs and Communication Rights in Poznań at ul. Gronova. People who do not have a mask will be captured by the camera and their image will be handed over to the police.

The device that monitors whether we are wearing a mask is introduced for safety reasons. Thousands of people pass through the department every day, and according to the information provided by the office, not everyone follows the sanitary safety rules. Moreover, in some cases even the police had to intervene.

According to Łukasz Prymas, Deputy Director for Facility Management of the Service Department of the Office of the City of Krakow, the use of a special camera that will allow you to recognize whether a person is wearing a mask is a pilot solution.

The system being installed is to be largely automatic. The cameras are to capture the video material and send it to a special e-mail address. Then it will be analyzed and, in certain cases, sent to the police in order to determine the details of a person who does not comply with sanitary restrictions.

You can expect a fine of up to PLN 500 for the lack of a mask. In some cases, officers may file a motion with the court for punishment, in which case the fine may be as high as PLN 5,000.

Currently, the city has no plans to introduce such a solution on a massive scale. He informs that if the system turns out to be efficient and needed, it is possible that similar equipment will also be installed in other customer service rooms - e.g. in the building at ul. Liberta 16/20.
