Police officers already have the first information about other victims who did not report immediately after the incident. Investigators are trying to reach these people.

As PAP found out, there are at least eight injured people. The police are collecting evidence. The attacker is likely to be interrogated on Tuesday.

- All people have been informed about the possibility of using psychological help - indicated the spokesman for the provincial hospital in Toruń, Janusz Mielcarek.

The police are asking all people who were victims or witnesses of a knife attack to contact them. They can call the numbers 47 754 23 68 or 69, as well as report in person.

The uniforms have not yet declared what charges they will bring against the detainee. He may be charged with attempted murder, which carries a life sentence.

After the attack on Facebook, the mayor of Toruń, Michał Zaleski, spoke, writing that he was very concerned about the morning's incident.

"Every day we try to make Toruń a safe city. Police and city guard patrols monitor the streets of the city every day. However, these actions are not always sufficient, especially when the aggressors use drugs or other intoxicants, and their behavior can be unpredictable. We hope that such a situation will never happen again.
