Several ways for hot water?Check how suitable for you

Heaters and electric heaters do not require the construction of special gas connections, proper ventilation of rooms or the construction of a chimney. Their operation is safe, there is no risk of explosion or carbon monoxide poisoning.

Electric flow heaters are an economical and convenient solution

The most important advantages of flow heaters are: small dimensions, thanks to which they can be easily connected close to the water intake point, as well as automatic switching on only when the tap is turned on, thanks to which it is an energy-saving solution. There are no losses related to the storage of hot water in the tank and its flow in long sections of pipes.

The most popular are small heaters, most often equipped with a battery and hung directly above the washbasin, they are ideal for summer houses, small restaurants, offices and hairdressers. In summer houses and camping sites, shower heaters with IP25 protection are often used, thanks to such water resistance they can be mounted directly in the shower cabin.

Heaters without a built-in battery are most often used in kitchens. They are small, so they can be easily hidden in the cabinet under the sink. They can also be placed under or above the sink.

If, however, you want to obtain a larger amount of hot water in several draw-off points, you should use three-phase devices, powered by 400 V. KOSPEL offers models with hydraulic control and more technologically advanced models with electronic control.

Choosing a heater with electronic control gives you two most important advantages: energy savings and definitely greater comfort of use.

Small electric boiler or capacitive water heater

In many cases, when looking for a way to heat water, capacitive water heaters are the optimal solution. Certainly, their advantage is the guarantee of simple assembly, all you need is access to the usual electrical installation (230 V). In addition, they are characterized by quiet operation, and high-quality insulation protects against heat loss. The power of heaters in capacitive heaters allows them to be connected to ordinary electrical sockets. The most important criterion for choosing a device is its capacity.

Capacitive water heaters are characterized by high comfort of use. Thanks to the solutions used, the user can adjust the temperature in the range of 23 to 70 ° C. The heater with a power of 2kW ensures a short time of heating the water in the tank. In the case of heaters with a capacity of 5 liters, the time to heat the water in the entire tank by 30°C is approx. 5.5 minutes. In tanks with a capacity of 10 liters - it takes about 11 minutes to heat the water.

Water heating with a central heating source? Find the right hot water exchanger.

If you intend to heat domestic water with a boiler, heat pump or other central heating source, you will need a hot water exchanger. The KOSPEL company has a wide range of hot water exchangers. What is the principle of their operation?

The main element of the exchanger is a steel tank covered with ceramic enamel. The Kospel company uses powder enamelling technology during the production of heat exchangers. The biggest advantage of this technology is the even coverage of the entire surface of the tank. A precisely selected layer of enamel perfectly protects the tank sheet against corrosion. This is a guarantee of the highest durability of the device and many years of trouble-free operation.

The built-in coil or water jacket transfers the heat supplied from the boiler to the domestic water. The use of these devices is particularly justified in extensive installations where circulation should be used.

The tanks are produced in various versions, e.g. with one, two or three coils or in a jacket version. You can choose from hanging or standing devices with capacities from 80 to 1000 liters. Horizontal exchangers with a coil or a water jacket are most often used for cooperation with solid fuel boilers. Horizontal devices are offered with capacities ranging from 80 to 140 liters.

Sheet heat exchangers deserve special attention. They have much more power and efficiency than devices with the same capacity with coils. For example, the efficiency of the SP-180 jacket exchanger with a total capacity of 183 liters is comparable to the efficiency of an exchanger with a coil of 300 liters. An important element in the production of shell exchangers is the technology of undulation of the tank walls. It additionally increases the heating surface. In addition, thanks to greater pressure resistance (up to 0.3 MPa), it allows the installation of exchangers in closed central heating systems.

It is also worth distinguishing devices with a high degree of energy efficiency - energy class A. These are, for example, SWK heat exchangers - for installation under the boiler.
