Central locking did not work with the remote control. What kind of fault does this mean?

Imagine that you are approaching a car, pressing a button on the remote control and the vehicle does not respond. What if the central locking does not work from the remote control? If we are not talking about a remote control linked to an alarm, you can always open the door with the key. However, this does not release the operator from another obligation, namely to find the source of the fault.

When the car does not respond to the remote control, the fault is definitely electronic. And although it sounds not very optimistic, it does not have to be associated with a serious flaw yet. Sometimes the fact that the pilot does not open the car is determined by a failure that can be removed for just a few zlotys.

Central locking does not work from the remote control - reasons:

Replacing the battery in the remote control costs pennies. The driver can also cope with programming the device on his own - instructions can be found on online forums. A definitely more expensive scenario is the one in which the central locking does not work from the remote control, and damage to the remote control or the comfort module is to blame. Sealing the BSI computer or buying a new key with a remote control and programming it can cost even 600-700 PLN.

I can't open the door with the remote control. Then what?

Most drivers will say that in a situation where the car does not respond to the remote control, it is best to open the door with the key. Unfortunately, the rarely used lock may not allow it. And when the key does not open the car, the driver has nothing else to do but break the glass? Fortunately not. If the key does not open the driver's door, you can always try with others equipped with a lock or, for example, with a boot. In addition, it is also worth lubricating the locks, for example WD-40. This sometimes helps to unlock the lock.
