It is hard to imagine contemporary reality without GPS navigation.Thousands of drivers around the world use it every day in their phones. But not everyone does it in the right way, which can pose a threat on the road.

Drivers in Belgium will threaten a fine for using GPS navigation.Current regulations prohibit the use of GPS navigation on the phone, but the technology has gone forward and you can also use GPS from a tablet or watch. Therefore, it was considered that it was necessary to clarify the regulations.

According to the new Belgian regulations. Why?Because it poses a threat on the road.An offense for which the driver threatens a fine of up to 174 euros.

Changes in the regulations are to come into force from March 1, 2022, but, as is the case in most regulations in the world, there is a gap here.

Using a telephone or tablet as a GPS navigation screen will be legal if the device is located in the designable handle. This is to be placed on the dashboard or windshield.Of course, if the car has a GPS display, but no mandate will be issued.
