The equipment is equipped with a 2.5 -inch touch screen and can record with a maximum resolution of 1440P in 30 frames per second (60 frames will be obtained at a maximum of 1080p resolution).In addition, the camera offers: intelligent parking mode, SOS function, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and Alex's voice support, which, unfortunately, does not support Polish at the moment.You can also connect with the camera by phone using the Mynextbase Connect application.

In the starting set outside the camera we get: a power supply connected to a car lighter socket with an inseparable cable with a mini USB plug (4 m), an additional USB cable to connect to the computer and the click and go handle with power.There are also two elements to connect the camera - one is a classic suction cup, and the other is a double -sided tape that is sticking to the car's glass.The box also includes: additional adhesive tape, a device for hiding cables behind the upholstery, as well as a short user manual.

The quality of the device is at a high level.The construction is compact, all rubber covers hold the housing solidly and do not fall out.There are connectors and buttons on the sides of the camera.On the left there is a switch and a microSD memory card slot, while on the right miniHDMI connector, which can be used, among others, to connect an additional accessory, e.g..rear camera.There is a mini USB port on top, and a small button for resetting the settings at the bottom.Under the screen, however, there is a large button with the manufacturer's logo, which is used for manual recording.

Attaching the device to the glass is very simple, but if you want to attach a double -sided tape holder, it is worth devoting a moment to find a good position.The advantage of this handle is the small distance of the lens from the glass, thanks to which the image is less visible from the inside of the glass.The handle itself also has its own USB socket, so even if you need to remove the camera, you don't have to fight the wires.Disconnecting and connecting the camera is also child's play, thanks to the click and go handle.The joint magnet attracts the camera to the handle and holds it stably.A really extreme situation would have to happen for the camera to fall off.During everyday driving, even on a very leaky road, there is no such possibility.

Nextbase 422GW - useful additional functions

Nextbase 422GW can connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, so you can check each recording with the help of mynextbase connect application at almost any time.At this point I have to notice that charging movies on the phone takes a while, sometimes you have to be patient and wait a few seconds (but this is not a disadvantage, because fragments often weigh over 100 MB).Selected videos can be copied to the phone's memory, and then watch them away from the device.The application also allows you to update the camera software, change its settings and configure additional options.

In addition, the camera has an accurate GPS module, and in the application on the phone and on the computer you can trace the recorded movie on the map.In addition, the application, in addition to the aforementioned voice service, also has the SOS function, which in the event of an accident connects with the services and calls for help to the scene of the accident, by the way sending the location of the car.The function is thought enough that it can be included in information about the car model and its color, your own allergies, medications used, as well as the blood group.Although I do not wish anyone that this function will be useful, this is probably the best additional option.Very similar solutions are mandatory in every new car (e-Call).

Staying for a while with application, I have to pay attention to the translation.Unfortunately, as for the producer of Premium cameras, the translation into Polish is weak.In places it looks like it was made by Google's translator and alive to the software.

The angle of view is 140 degrees, you can see a lot on the recordings, by the way there is no distorted image in the form of a "fish eye".During the day the movies look very good.Colors, liquidity and dynamics are at the appropriate level.You can easily read registration numbers even fast -driving cars from the opposite direction.

As it usually happens, it's worse at night.The 422GW model has no additional options that improve vision of registration numbers and sometimes it is difficult to read them, especially if they are illuminated by vehicle headlights.Of course, this problem is smaller in the city because we have many light sources.In general, however, Nextbase records good, clear recordings, and many of his competitors are doing worse with night films.

And here I have to stick to the translation again.The camera interface is translated exactly the same as the smartphone application, i.e. the words are alive from English.In addition, the camera can hang once in a while.It does not respond to touch or buttons and unfortunately nothing can be done until the battery is discharged or the reset button is pressed, which is rather difficult when driving.For the producer to want to fight the competition, he should improve it as soon as possible, because in such a situation you cannot save the recording.This is probably the most serious allegation to this recorder, but I emphasize that within three months of use and about 4,000 traveled.km happened two or three times.The camera has the latest software installed, also the smartphone application is the latest.

The 422GW battery will last to record for about 20 minutes, but during parking mode (it starts only through noise or impact) it can be active about four days.

Nextbase 422GW - is it worth it?

The NextBase 422GW camera should easily satisfy the driver during everyday use.At the price of PLN 799 we get good performance and good quality movies, in addition, there are useful functions that may be important in the gate situations.The size of the camera does not bother while driving in any way, and the device can even be placed in such a way that it will be invisible behind the retrograde mirror.I can't complain about recording at night.Of course, it could be better, but in these difficult conditions the camera is doing well anyway.A plus also a great performance of the device.

The manufacturer should work on the software, because when spending considerable money, the owner should not meet with an incorrect translation or sporadic suspension of the device.Fortunately, all this can be repaired with updates.In addition, the manufacturer offers a number of accessories cooperating with the camera, M.in.rear seat recorder or camera monitoring the situation behind the vehicle.I was satisfied with the daily use of this video recorder.
