New Meet improvements are largely inspired by the opinions of customers and users.Starting from next month, users of desktop computers and laptops will see a new, richer user interface with a number of easily available functions that should make meetings more productive and inclusion.The new version of the messenger in the browser includes updates to the video transmission view, display and presenting during the meeting and the appearance of the lower belt.

In order to reduce the level of fatigue, Google Meet gives more control over how users see themselves during the connection.They can choose whether the view of their video transmission is to display as a tile or be a movable image whose size and location can be changed.If the user prefers not to see himself at all, he can easily minimize the view of his transmission and completely hide it.A setting has also been added to exclude the view of your transmission in all conversations within Google Meet.

To increase the confidence of people presenting at meetings, Google also improved the options for attaching and removing content.After detachment, the presentation tile has the same size as the other tiles with participants.This allows you to see more people participating in the conversation and better monitor their reactions.In addition, in the coming months, the options for customizing the view will be available, including the ability to attach many video transmissions.This will ensure greater flexibility, allowing you to combine the view of other interlocutors and displaying content on the screen, adapting to what the user the most care about at the moment.

The lower belt was also updated to facilitate navigation after meetings.Google connected all controls so that they were in one place.Codes for bumping for meetings, attachments, list of participants, chat and other elements are now in the lower right corner, which is to provide more space vertically for the view of other interlocutors and content.The bottom bar is always visible, so the user will always see the inscriptions and whether it is muted.The button of leaving the meeting away from the camera and microphone buttons was also moved to prevent it from being mistaken.

High quality and reliability of meetings thanks to artificial intelligence

Google Meet's priority is to create high -quality meeting experience, regardless of the place of connection and the preferred device.The Mountain View giant is constantly investing in innovations that improve audio and video experience.For video conversations conducted using cellular data transmission, Google introduces the Data Saver function this month.This is especially important in countries where data packages costs can be high.

Last year, Low-Light mode has been introduced for the MEET application for mobile devices, in which, thanks to artificial intelligence, the brightness of the display is automatically adapted so that participants are more visible in a dark environment.Too much light, for example a window behind the user, through which sunlight falls, can also be a challenge for many cameras.Google Meet now automatically detects the situation when the user seems underexposed and increases the level of brightness to improve its visibility.Light adjustment will be available to all Meet users in the coming weeks.

Google additionally introduces another function that makes it easier to focus on the interlocutors during meetings.Autozoom, using artificial intelligence to enlarge the image, will help to see the user more clearly, placing him straight to the camera.If he moves, the autozoom will intelligently adapt to his position so that the interlocutor is always clearly visible.Autozoom will be available to paid Google Workspace users in the coming months.

Tools for more engaging meetings
