Volvo Truck Experience Day - already 25 years together!|Motocaina.pl

When you think of trucks, you probably won't think of a racetrack. And yet that's exactly what Volvo chose to celebrate this special anniversary. The most interesting models of trucks and passenger vehicles were collected at the Jastrząb autodrome near Radom, and a number of interesting attractions were prepared for the participants.

Perhaps the biggest of them was the attempt to control the modern colossus while driving over the skid plate. Anyone could sit behind the wheel of a truck tractor, even if they did not have category C licences. I am one of them and I must admit that this experience was invaluable to me. On the same track, but without skidding, it was also possible to drive a fully laden truck, i.e. with a semi-trailer attached, and experience driving a Segway.

Drift shows were also very popular, during which an experienced driver Mateusz Fijał (brother of Aleksandra, the Polish champion in the women's class) glided around the track in a specially prepared tractor. The sporty nature of the machine was evidenced by the huge spoiler - I must admit that this unusual view has become one of my favorites.

Participants could also take a close look at unique Volvo trucks, stylized thematically. Pirate theme, patriotic, or maybe a bit dark? There were also gleaming buses and fire trucks nearby, and even a cement mixer. There were also game consoles at the guests' disposal, including a fully equipped racing station and a small toy track, where they could try their hand at the controls of remotely controlled off-road cars. The meaning of the event was reminded by a plane with a large banner, flying over the track from time to time. Inflatable mattresses and a viewing crane were also interesting. The culmination of the event were the evening stunt shows with the use of the ramp, which the guests could watch from the observation deck of the hotel of the Jastrząb track.

25 years together

Volvo Trucks started operating in Poland in 1994. It was then that the head office was established in Warsaw, and the first-generation Volvo FH, which is still appreciated today, was awarded the title of International Truck of the Year. In the following years, the concern moved the assembly department to Wrocław, presented the FM model and the new generation of the FH range. At the beginning of the 21st century, Volvo Trucks left the factories in Wrocław to open an office for the Central and Eastern Europe Region in 2005 in the capital of our country, and two years later in Młochów the brand center. In 2012, the fourth generation FH hit the market, which had many technical improvements and a refreshed design. The vehicle deservedly won the title of International Truck of the Year 2014.

Thanks to this, 25 years later, whole families could have fun on the Jastrząb track - customers, journalists, Volvo employees and anyone who wanted to accompany the concern on this special day. We can only wish Volvo Trucks all the best and many more fruitful years in Poland!
