Peugeot 107 is the smallest car in the offer of the French manufacturer. 107 is the third, next to Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo, the so-called "Triple from Kolin", due to its dimensions, belongs to the A segment, i.e. the mini class. above the common name came from a joint venture of PSA Peugeot Citroen and Toyota, as a result of which in 2005 three almost identical cars were created, differing only in details and using a Toyota engine. The production of triplets was placed in the Czech Kolin, which influenced the common name of the cars.

Justyna / Przysiadłenie.pl: We got our hands on a tiny Peugeot 107 full of positive energy with 68 hp. The car does not impress with its size and performance, but it absolutely does not bother, because it attracts attention anyway. It is puzzling why a car with a 1.0-liter engine evokes such positive emotions ... Probably because of its front end, which resembles a very wide and sincere smile that is waiting for the driver in the parking lot :) And pro after the parking lot - the little Frenchman is a master parking, due to its dimensions it will fit into every crack. This is certainly helped by high visibility and a large steering angle. The car is agile, and the engine is economical and ambitious :) At first glance, the interior of the test version seems small and minimalist. Upon closer inspection, however, the interior seems thoughtful and friendly. The storage compartment in large and "serious" cars is usually closed - in our little one, the storage compartment is open "forever". On the one hand, practical (e.g. a place for a small women's handbag), but on the other hand, nothing will be hidden in it. The dial of the speedometer illuminated in orange is nothing yet - the most cool is the protruding tachometer - like Mickey Mouse's ear.

Some people came up with the term "toy" during the test, but despite this, the little blue Lion made a sensation among women during the tests. When it comes to equipment, you can find everything you need in the car. The Urban Move version includes electric front windows (one window control button for the driver and one for the passenger), central locking with remote control, air conditioning, CD radio and metallic paint (tested version in Electra blue). The operation of the ventilation and air conditioning is very simple, and sometimes it even seemed too simple, because you can accidentally change the setting and turn on the warm air instead of cold air. The front seats are comfortable, even on long journeys. And their manual adjustment is very easy and fast. Although the car is a five-door, it has the characteristics of its three-door brother - it is very quick and easy to fold the driver's seat back to reach things from the rear seat, without having to open the rear door. The rear row does not impress with its spaciousness, but for people who need a small, agile car that can easily accommodate a week's shopping for a family of three, the small Peugeot'cik is the perfect solution.

The possibility of unfolding the rear seats makes the car perfect even for a longer trip. The capacity with the seats folded down is as much as 751 liters, so there is enough luggage for a weekend for two adults. The advantage of such a small trunk is certainly that after putting in the shopping, they do not "fly" over its entire surface. In the facelift model, there is no standard rear hatch, but an opening window. Being at the windows - opening the rear windows is unique, they are not lowered, but tilted. The Peugeot 107 is currently only available in one engine version - it makes sense. Maybe the 1.0-liter engine will not impress us with its performance, but we will certainly be delighted with its economy and flexibility. The power is small, because 68 HP, but the weight of 800 kg is not a problem for such power. The average fuel consumption according to the manufacturer is 4.6 liters per 100 km and almost everything is correct here, because during the tests our little alien consumed an average of 5.4 liters per 100 km when driving in various conditions. That is nothing :) One fuel tank with a capacity of 35 liters allowed to cover the route of 650 kilometers. A large share in such low fuel consumption is also a 5-speed manual gearbox with well-matched ratios. With the air conditioning on, the change in dynamics is not so noticeable, so this aspect can be omitted. Traveling Peugeot 107 after a few kilometers, you can get used to the purring of this unique three-cylinder, but sitting on the back sofa, you get the impression that it has not been fully silenced - inside you can hear the sounds of every puddle and every bump. Small wheels and a fairly hard suspension let you know about most of the obstacles that the car overcomes on the road, but on the corners they keep the car in check and you can enjoy driving comfort. When passing much larger traffic participants, one could also feel that the Peugeot 107 does not like strong gusts of wind. You have to be very careful with the steering wheel. In the basic version, the car has an airbag for the driver and passenger, but as an option, it can be additionally equipped with side and curtain airbags - the cost is PLN 1,600.

- So who is this little alien for? Peugeot 107 is a car for people with a rich imagination :) It is not known why, driving a 107 a smile appears on your face. It is not 100% a car for drivers who require high power and high load capacity from the car. You can get used to the purr of the engine, and the sight of such a positive car causes a chain reaction and smiles of other drivers. Driving a Peugeot 107 can be pure fun, and its economy brings another smile to your face. If everyone in cities drove such a small and cute alien, the traffic jams would be smaller, the air cleaner, and the attitude of drivers towards each other would be better… writes the author Justyna.

Peugeot's smallest model has all the characteristics of a typical city car - agile and economical. - In its current form, it has sold over 320,000 copies. pieces and it's time for cosmetic fixes. However, modifications to the silhouette were not accompanied by noticeable technical improvements, because the parameters of the car remained unchanged.

According to the opinions of the testers, several stylistic updates can be seen in the silhouette of the car. The new, massive bumper with a chrome strip in the center is eye-catching, giving it a more solid, albeit slightly aggressive character. The interior is spacious, but only at the front, which is typical for cars of this class: the front seats are large and comfortable. The cockpit has retained its previous appearance - it still looks clear and pleasant. Only the sliders for adjusting the temperature and airflow may be difficult at first for new users, before they learn to use them intuitively. The modest boot with a capacity of 139 liters can be increased to 712 liters.

- The 68 hp three-cylinder petrol engine enables dynamic driving. It accelerates efficiently from low revs, but those who want to get the power out of it for, for example, overtaking, will have to "spin" high. The average fuel consumption, which is worth mentioning, remains at the level of 5.5 l/100 km. On the occasion of the facelift, it was possible to reduce CO2 emissions from 109 to 106 g/km. All this makes the small Peugeot the perfect car for the city. The gearbox also does not raise any major objections. The designers focused on long gear ratios. Despite the fact that the Peugeot 107 has a short wheelbase, it absorbs bumps, even transverse ones, surprisingly well. This is a rarity in this class of cars. However, while the comfort of traveling allows you to go on a further route without fear, the poor soundproofing does not. At higher speeds, the insistent buzz of the "three-cylinder" will not be drowned out even by the radio. The precise steering system deserves praise, which, combined with a well-tuned suspension, gives a lot of driving pleasure.

According to the AŚ, the French "toddler" received four stars in Euro NCAP tests. It comes with driver and passenger airbags and ABS as standard. Optional – side and curtain airbags, radio with CD and air conditioning. Peugeot, despite the facelift, did not change the price and still remains a dangerous competitor against the background of rivals.
