Nothing more than an OLED TV is needed to watch movies at home

OLED is second to none

Today, creating ideal conditions for organizing a screening at home is much easier and more accessible. Without spending a fortune, we can afford a TV that will not only offer a large screen, but also modern technologies and solutions that will make watching a real film feast. With the LG OLED A1 and LG OLED B1, it all starts with the OLED screen. The technology that used to be associated with a considerable expense, today is at your fingertips for a wider group of customers. There are many advantages of choosing an OLED display instead of LCD, you just need to turn on the TV and watch any content presented on the screen. Thanks to the self-illuminating pixels, it is possible to generate an image that is not highlighted in batches, so the dark areas remain truly black and the bright areas stand out significantly. The best, pictorial example will be such spectacular films as "Star Wars", where we regularly deal with scenes with the sky or space in the background. Then individual points, i.e. stars, are highlighted regardless of their immediate vicinity, while the remaining parts of the image are really dark. Simply put, black remains black. A great example will also be the series "Game of Thrones", where many episodes were shot in a dark scenery, late-night events are presented, so many scenes look best on a screen that can show black and the differences between the lighter and darker parts of the screen.

Dolby Vision IQ to keep every scene looking its best

The Dolby Vision IQ technology works perfectly together with the OLED panel. To see how well they are doing, I recommend the screening of "Godzilla vs. Kong ”or“ Spider-Man: Universe ”, which are full of colorful scenes with lighter and darker elements. Watching the battle of the title monsters in a city full of neon lights at dusk, you can take a good look at computer-generated detailed models bathed in darkness, but at the same time small bright, colorful elements, i.e. city lighting, look great. In "Spider-Man: Universe" we deal with an unusual animation, full of scenes rich in various colors, but quite often they are presented against a dark background - in such circumstances Dolby Vision IQ works perfectly, because the brightest elements, such as flames , they are not burned-out pictures, but gain in detail, clarity and clarity. At the same time, it is possible to better present the fragments in which until now it was impossible to show well-lit spaces and those in the shade at the same time, when, for example, the camera is pointed at the window. The dimly lit part of the room was previously blurred, bathed in darkness at the moment of presenting what is outside the window. Conversely, if the interior of the room was shown, the view outside the window would be too bright, which would lead to a "burned out" effect. HDR allows you to create a balance between the darkest and the lightest parts of the image. Dolby Vision IQ goes a step further, because dynamic metadata and information from sensors built into the TV are also taken into account, so the optimization of the brightness level is also based on the conditions in the room in which the TV is placed.

A new generation processor watches over every frame and shot

As we do not always have access to the best-quality content, and the screen size and resolution exceed the parameters of the source materials, the manufacturer has responded to such situations and prepared solutions that will ensure the best possible experience. They consist of the latest generation fourth-generation α7 processor and the AI Picture function, which is based on deep learning algorithms. Thanks to it, the displayed image and TV are analyzed, using a huge database containing over a million data points, recognizes the content, optimizes image parameters, and removes noise. As a result, you can count on more detailed, better presented movies and series. A novelty in the form of Scene Detection, it also independently analyzes the type of scene visible on the screen and continuously adjusts its settings in such a way that the whole thing looks natural and attractive.

See the movies as their creators predicted

For movie buffs, the presence of the Filmmaker mode, developed in collaboration with the industry's most respected filmmakers, including directors such as Christopher Nolan (creator of Inception, the Dark Knight trilogy, Interstellar and TENET), will surely be good news. , Martin Scorsese ("The Irishman", "Taxi Driver", "The Fugitive Boys"), James Cameron ("Titanic", "Avatar", "Terminator 2: Judgment Day") and JJ Abrams ("Star Wars: The Force Awakens", "Super 8", "Into Darkness. Star Trek"). By activating this mode, we make sure that all solutions that significantly affect the image are turned off, so motion smoothing, image sharpening and other processing functions do not change how the movie looks on the TV screen. The image retains its original aspect ratio, color and fluidity. The goal is to display the production the way its creator intended.
