Articles - Laundry at the campsite? A must-see!

It is a standard on foreign campsites. The topic is still in its infancy in Poland. Of course, we are talking about laundries, which we can use both during a long-term stay in the trailer and during a "vanlife" trip. Guests are more and more often asking about such amenities and the owners of the fields are asked - what device to choose?

Laundry service at the campsite is a must, both in the all-year-round fields and in those whose domain is long-term stays. Why? Still, mainly due to the weight, we will not find washing machines on board even the most luxurious motorhomes or caravans. This means that we can only refresh our personal belongings on campsites. Self-service laundries, so popular abroad, in Poland are found only in large cities, to which, for example, a combination with a caravan is difficult to reach (if at all possible).

Since guests require a laundry in the field, it is up to the owner to meet this need. First thought: an ordinary domestic washing machine and a separate room. This solution seems to be great, but only in the (very) short term.

First of all - speed. A standard domestic washing machine takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours to complete a typical washing program. Professional - 40 minutes with the water temperature oscillating around 60 degrees Celsius. This value can be further reduced by directly connecting hot water to the washing machine. Time saving is the comfort of guests and the possibility of making the device available to more people.

Second - performance. A domestic washing machine will "withstand" about 700 cycles. Professional, designed for the needs of, among others campsites - up to 20,000!

Thirdly - a domestic washing machine most often offers the possibility of washing things weighing not more than 6-10 kilograms. A typical 2 + 2 family has to use such a device several times, which is not comfortable for them or for the field owner. Electricity and water consumption is increasing, and the guest is not satisfied that he has to pay for each subsequent wash. And taking care of the washing machine to get things out of it from time to time and put in a new one is not something that would fit in with the definition of "ideal vacation".
