After the article by Janusz Braun, we asked Polish Television whether it is really taken into account the submission of an application for the subject of the law so that ski jumping could only be shown on public television.We did not receive an answer.
For now, the situation on the media market remains unchanged - TVN has the right to show jumps.Already during the first weekend with broadcasts, the fans noticed significant differences between the way of showing the competition on TVP and a commercial station.The first change was a short advertising break that appeared on TVN after 30 jumpers of the first series.In the time of TVP it was not.Can such an additional advertising break deter supporters?
- the fans themselves are not.The effects after such an earthquake on the media market must be observed for a long time.The fans simply followed the jumpers and watch them where they are shown.For them, the broadcast on TVN is also new and you have to wait for their reaction.One competition is not enough to draw conclusions.However, I do not think that such an advertising break has scared them off.These are too small differences.For sure TVN will conduct public opinion research on how people react to broadcast, studio, but also advertising and where they can still put them - explained Grzegorz Kita.
Experts are another change.TVP focused on experienced people.The president of PZN Apoloniusz Tajner often visited the TVP studio.TVN focused on former jumper Jakub Kot and Skoczkin.
