The incident took place on Tuesday in the Stawki estate in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. According to Daniel Prokopowicz, spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Kielce, the investigators found that 35-year-old Krzysztof K. stabbed the victim in the back with a knife. As a result of the injuries, the 41-year-old inhabitant of Ostrów Wielkopolski died at the scene.

- Immediately after the incident, the police officers detained Krzysztof K. and a woman who, according to preliminary findings, could be related to the incident - the prosecutor noted.

On Thursday, Krzysztof K. was brought to the District Prosecutor's Office in Ostrowiec Św., Where the prosecutor charged him with murder. - The suspect did not plead guilty to the alleged offense and exercised the right to refuse to provide explanations - added Prokopowicz.

The prosecutor referred to the District Court in Ostrowiec Św. an application for the temporary arrest of the suspect for three months. - During the investigation, the evidence necessary to clearly establish the circumstances of the case, including the perpetrator's motives, will be collected - said Prokopowicz.

The suspect is punishable by life imprisonment for the alleged offense. The 32-year-old detained in the case was released after being questioned as a witness.
