He got an uninhabitable flat Golub Dobrzyń | Golub-cgd.pl
Wojciech Prymak, a resident of Golub-Dobrzyń, contacted our editorial office, who received a communal apartment from the city office. Unfortunately, the premises are uninhabitable.
The office promised a partial renovation of the apartment. It's been almost half a year and the rooms are still uninhabitable. - In July 2021, my wife and I received a council flat in Golub-Dobrzyń - says Wojciech Prymak. – The premises has 29 square meters of space. We accepted the apartment and agreed to clean the rooms. At first glance, nothing indicated that the place would be in such a deplorable state. We collected as many as two large containers, a total of almost eight cubic meters of various waste. It was only after cleaning that we saw the dilapidated state of the apartment. The condition of the floor turned out to be deplorable. You cannot stand upright in the toilet. This is a room for "dwarfs". Most windows and doors can be replaced.
Wojciech Prymak had to rent another apartment to be able to prepare the communal premises for use. Since the holidays, he has also been sending letters to the office asking for help in adapting the premises. He asked for the floor, electrical installation, central heating, windows and doors to be replaced, and for the rent to be suspended until the renovation was completed. The Office replied to some of the correspondence. He suspended fees and undertook to replace windows and doors.
- I haven't received any reply to the other letters yet - adds Mr. Wojciech. We were promised to replace windows and doors. I got an answer that it will be done in November. Since then, unfortunately, silence. I even invited the mayor, Mariusz Piątkowski, to see the apartment. He was there, he saw it, and he said that the place was in fact in need of a thorough renovation. Unfortunately, he did nothing about it. The councilors I spoke with also expressed their support. They didn't help either.
Wojciech Prymak and his wife rent an apartment and pay PLN 1,200 in rent plus bills. His wife is on a disability pension and Mr. Wojciech occasionally earns extra money by doing physical work.
- I have to leave my current apartment by the end of May at the latest - Wojciech Prymak is annoyed. “I thought I would be able to live in a communal apartment earlier. Thus, I would not have to pay so much for rent. I am able to do a lot of renovation work myself. I declared to repair the ceiling and renew the walls. Unfortunately, I won't be able to do some work, hence all the letters asking for help. So many months have passed and the topic has hardly budged.
We'll come back to this.
