A rolled mosquito net has the advantage that it can be raised or lowered as needed, and the mechanism is not very visible.fotolia/lamax

An open window and balcony door is a natural thing in the summer - until the moment when insects start to appear in our house mosquitoes, wasps, flies and other unwanted insects. However, if there are too many of them in our house, installing mosquito nets may be the perfect solution.

Anti-allergic mosquito nets and those that can be placed above the bed are also becoming more and more popular. Read also: Plague of mosquitoes. How do cities fight these insects? The frame mosquito net is designed for most types of windows, and the door mosquito net is used - as the name suggests - for balcony entrance doors In the case of double-leaf balcony doors, the best solution is to install a double rolled mosquito net. Rolled mosquito nets can also be used for roof windows. Installation variantsInterestingly, it ispossible to combine external roller shutters with mosquito nets. When choosing an external roller blind, it is worth finding out about the possibility of direct integration with the mosquito net - in this case, both roller blinds will be hidden in the same cassette above the window. Finishing materials and assembly The frame of the mosquito net is made of aluminum, while the mesh is made of fiberglass. The color of the profile is usually matched to the RAL palette or the palette of wood-like veneers. The special mesh does not limit visibility and is resistant to the negative impact of external factors, such as: temperature, UV radiation or rain. Window and door mosquito net frames tightly adhere to the installation site. It is good to mount door mosquito nets on aluminum profiles with corners, which makes this solution more resistant to mechanical damage. Anti-allergic mosquito nets Anti-allergic mosquito nets have anti-dust mesh, which, in addition to effective protection against insects, also prevents pollen from trees, flowers or grass from getting inside. The polyester mesh is characterized by a denser weave, but also ensures adequate air permeability. Thanks to this, allergens in the air do not get into the immediate surroundings of people who are allergic to them. The assembly of the anti-allergic mosquito net frame is carried out in the same way as the standard one. Costs The prices of frame mosquito nets start from PLN 70 per square meter, and roll-up mosquito nets from PLN 250 per square meter. Mosquito net doors cost about PLN 280 per square meter. In the case of pleated mosquito nets, we must take into account the cost of about PLN 1,500 per door set The key influence on the price is the color of the accessories, types of mesh or assembly, type of mosquito net and accessories. Anti-allergic mosquito nets, in turn, are more expensive by about 40 percent. from the standard version. previousnext

Walls will be lost for cheap(2)

I bought a mosquito net in Lidl and installed it in a summer house. Aluminum profile to be cut, mesh to be installed, magnets and springs in hinges for automatic closing, everything is simple ... unfortunately, the construction did not foresee that it was blowing and raining. The pine dust has turned black to green and can't be washed and rinsed, and the wind has bent the hinges and the frame doesn't come back on its own and doesn't close. But four weeks of the season withstood

    mosquito net

I made a makeshift one like from American movies, the second entrance door is made of wood and mesh for testing, it doesn't look aesthetically pleasing, I changed the mesh twice because the dog didn't see it:) but it's been holding for almost ten years and it works every year :) it cost me about PLN 300, but the problem of flies eliminates almost to zero. Recently, I came up with a mosquito net, a roller blind for windows, mounted outside, it doesn't look nice either, but we'll see if it passes the wind test :)
