Construction Construction Reconstruction of the railway station in Władysławowo. It's supposed to be beautiful

So far, the necessary demolition works have been carried out at the construction site and internal rooms, and preparations for the opening of the temporary station are underway. Works carried out as part of the Railway Station Investment Program for 2016-2023 of PKP started in autumn 2021.

Combination of the old style with modernity

The aim of the project is to restore the historical character of the building erected in 1928-1929 and adapt it to modern standards. - The facade after the renovation will be painted light gray, except for the cornices and window and door frames, which will be white, just like the historical window and door joinery. The bright colors of the façade will be contrasted with the red roof made of plain tiles.

PKP: in 2021, 21 stations will be made available to travelers

On the side of the city, an illuminated inscription "Railway Station" will be placed, and on the platforms "Władysławowo". The facility will be illuminated, and on the façades on both sides there will be station clocks above the entrances to the passenger rooms.

Major changes in the interior

The interior will be significantly rebuilt, but, as emphasized by PKP, respecting the historical character of the building. Classicist design elements will be combined with modern solutions. Bright colors have been provided for the waiting room in the hall, and the whiteness of wooden panelling, columns and ceiling (with integrated linear lighting) will be complemented by gray floors and walls. There will be ergonomic benches, display cases with timetables, as well as electronic boards of train arrivals and departures. There will be air conditioning in the space for travelers. In the vicinity there will be ticket offices and toilets, and in the southern part of the station seasonal ticket offices. In the northern, central part, premises and rental are planned.

The elimination of architectural barriers will ensure comfort for people with disabilities. From the side of the city and platforms, ramps will facilitate entry for wheelchairs. Other equipment includes Braille boards, tactile plans of the station, paths for the blind and visually impaired.

Energy-saving solutions

The building will be insulated, heat losses will also be limited by thermal insulation joinery. As a standard, the station will be illuminated with LED lamps with automatic control, and the BMS (Building Management System) will be used to manage installations and devices, reducing electricity, heat and water consumption. Heating will be provided by heat pumps. Monitoring, access control, burglary and assault alarm and fire protection system will increase the level of security.

New greenery and retention reservoir

A bicycle shed and two car parks are planned in the vicinity of the Władysławów railway station. One (11 places for cars) exists and will get a new surface, and the other, in the place of temporary pavilions, will have 20 places for passenger cars. Openwork concrete slabs will allow rainwater to penetrate into the soil and protect the car park against flooding during storms. There will be new trees and shrubs, as well as green areas. Under some of them there will be a large retention tank, collecting rainwater for use in toilets and watering plants.

The cost of rebuilding the station is PLN 14.32 million gross, the investment is co-financed from EU funds from the Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment. The investor is PKP. The design documentation was prepared by a consortium of TPF and TBi Architekci, and the contractor is Kamaro from Gdańsk. The reconstruction will be completed in mid-2023.
