Will Szamotuły be under the watchful eye of cameras? Councilors have no doubts about the need to build a monitoring network in the city

As for the fact that a comprehensive system of cameras monitoring sensitive places in the city is very much needed by Szamotuły, none of the people participating in Tuesday's meeting, she had no doubts. The essence of the application of councilor Bartosz Węglewski was the Szamotuły town hall's design and valuation of the municipal monitoring system, which, in addition to the Castle Park and Jan III Sobieski, would include roundabouts on the streets: Dworcowa, Nowowiejski, Gąsawska and Felinskiego, as well as all entrances and exits from Szamotuły. In this case - as indicated by the councilor - the network of city cameras should be equipped with a license plate recognition system that would facilitate the activities of services ensuring security and order.
It was no accident that the motion was referred to the committee. As the councilor explained, he submitted a similar letter to the office at the end of last year, but did not receive a reply to it until February 1. The commission was therefore to convince the city authorities that the matter should not be underestimated.
