VIVO V21 5G - Review of photo and video capabilities ... front camera

Akcja partnerska

VIVO V21 5G is one of the latest representatives of the Vivo portfolio that has found Polish store shelves. The smartphone is primarily characterized by a double lighting lamp. And there would be nothing intriguing about it, were it not for the fact that it is located ... by the front, not the main apparatus. And today I will try to develop this topic as much as possible - as it works and what Vivo V21 5G offers in terms of the use of the front camera.

Not so long ago in Tabletowo you could read the Vivo V21 5G review. Its author, Mariusz, spoke favorably about him.To the extent that in the summary he even stated that:

"I don't remember that I would use any average as nice as Vivo V21 5G"

Of course, he was not uncritical in his opinion. If you are interested in the full review of this product, I will refer you to this address.

Meanwhile, let's focus today on the capabilities of the front camera, which - as you will see - are spacious.

In Vivo V21 5G we will find a 44 Mpix front camera with f/2 brightness.0, very important - with OIS, i.e. optical image stabilization. To make it not enough, it offers support for autofocus by eye and two illuminating LEDs, which turn out to be extremely useful when making selfies, but also recording video with a front camera about (or after) dusk.

Speaking of video recording, I will immediately send you to a vlog, I recorded by me using VIVO V21 5G just.I checked in it how individual recording modes are doing in practice.

What does the Vivo V21 5G front camera offer?

If, for some reasons, you do not want to watch the above video or left it for a later time, let me briefly mention the most important capabilities of VIVO V21 5G in terms of video from the front camera.

Among them, it is worth mentioning, above all, keeping the characters in the frame - the function can be found in the interface marked as a superstabilization of the portrait. As a curiosity, I will add that the main apparatus still has the option of catching the user's eye (tracking the eye AI).

You can see what the superstabilization of the portrait looks like in reality, even watching a short thread, on which Kuba moves like burned with hot coffee, and the phone is placed on a tripod. The effect is as follows:

The second thing is the ability to record an image in the image. This means that at the same time we can record a picture from the main camera, having a small view of the image from the front camera or vice versa - depending on our preferences.

In addition, there are also filters that we can diversify our recordings.I think I was most interested in the filter called "yum".I don't know where this name came from, but looking after the effects obtained, the video actually becomes "tastier";).

When recording the video after dark we have three outputs: either we record without lighting and we see nothing in the frame (what is natural), or we use the backlight of the entire screen in the Aura mode, or - which I recommend - we turn on both flashes so that they illuminate our face and figure.Importantly, they do it really effectively, although - if there is little light from outside - you must be aware of the fact that you will be visible, but the background is not.And it will not be the fault of the phone.

What would I add?If I could suggest something Vivo, it would be two things. The first is the option of recording a portrait video with bokeh, i.e. background blur (cool bajer). The second, however, but this applies to the main camera - the possibility of switching between the main camera and ultrazerokim when recording video, without having to stop the clip.

  • What about photos from the front camera Vivo V21 5G?

First of all, you have to remember that they can be done in automatic or with blur mode.

The level of blur can be controlled - it is worth keeping in mind that the maximum blur will not always be the most suitable.Sometimes it is better to put on a smaller blur and thus better separation of a person than the background than an unnatural effect that can even spoil the photo.

An important issue is HDR in the front apparatus - immediately including it to start automatically.Otherwise, the sky will be burned. You can see it in the examples below:

  • And when it comes to photos at night, it is analogously, as in the case of video recording - there are three modes available: automatic, aura and headlight (double light illuminating lamp). The last option is recommended by me for the sake of the most natural color reproduction after lighting the frame.
