Video monitoring at stadiums, i.e. technologies in the Safety Service

Today, the first day of break in the World Cup in Russia. This is a good time to take a break from supporting TV screens for a moment and at the same time do not abandon the topic of football.Do you remember the events of the last queue of the Premier League from the Lech Poznań stadium, when local fans began to demolish the stadium of their club and ran to the field? Thanks to the installed police vision monitoring, some of the masked stadium bandits managed to identify.

It was like that in Poznań:

Contemporary sporting events require better and better security not only because of legal and technical and administrative requirements, but above all a sense of security of fans. One of the key tools is a permanent supervision system based on modern network cameras. The essence of success, in addition to professional protection, support of the fan-class and cooperation with the police, are and will be the implementation of appropriate network monitoring systems, especially the key areas: stands, entrances, exits, ticket offices, entry and escape routes, staircases, or stands with snacksand drinks.

In recent days, an interesting material about the possibilities of the Swedish video supervision systems fromAxis Communications came to my mailbox.Because I have a weakness for what is related to Scandinavia (IKEA, Jan Gehl, Henning Mankell ...), I decided to share some interesting information about what the company is doing at Polish stadiums.

Axis is a supplier of advanced video supervision systems both in the world (even for the World Cup facilities in Brazil in 2014.), as in Poland.Axis distinguishing feature is M.in.: monitoring ensuring optimal control over the crowd of people and the movement of vehicles with PTZ cameras recording high resolution image, automatic alarm in the case of camera sabotage (ensuring uninterrupted operation), fast and easy access to recorded recordings, smooth integration with the access control system, or finally cameraresistant to acts of vandalism, which ensures costly effective action and maintenance.

City Stadium in Szczecin

One of the exemplary examples of the implementation of the monitoring system in a sports facility is the implementation at the City Stadium in Szczecin (at the end of 2012).After the consultation, a permanent supervision system was developed and launched from fast -speed heads, fixed -standing cameras equipped with directional microphones, as well as a position of supervision, registration and protection.Modern heads ensure the possibility of full turnover at 360 degrees at a speed of 100 degrees per second.Signal, control and supply cabling for cameras on the pitch was laid in the existing teletechnical sewage system, which has been modernized for the needs of the new system, while for cameras installed in new locations a new sewage infrastructure was built.Video monitoring covered all points from ticket offices through gates, wickets, roads for rescue services, escape routes, parking lots, sectors for fans to the pitch itself.

- Mounting and launching IP cameras with modern heads from AXIS allowed us to provide optimal parameters for real -time observation. We have implemented a coherent system of recording and archiving image and sound.IP cameras meet the amended technical requirements for the organization of mass events - explains Waldemar Gill, director of Mosrir Szczecin.

Municipal Stadium in Kołobrzeg

In turn, in Kołobrzeg, after assessing technical requirements and existing infrastructure, local partner AXIS, MVB, installed M.in.Axis Q1755 series cameras (currently replaced by even more modern Q177) and AXIS M3203 (current upgrade-Axis P3214-V).The latter is an inexpensive and compact ductile dome network camera perfectly suited to places where discrete solosaceous devices with anti -spray protection are required.- The most important function of the supervision system at our stadium is to increase the safety of people staying on it and the possibilities related to easy identification of offenses, robberies or disturbing the course of events. The use of video monitoring to support the safety systems of sports facilities is a priority and indisputable matter - comments Janusz Gromek, President of Kołobrzeg.

Axis analyzes and solutions allowed for a separate power supply, LAN infrastructure and the sound system and video monitoring system of the entire facility using IP cameras.Currently, all events that take place at the stadium are secured thanks to the mentioned systems and technologies.System operators remain in constant contact with cleaning services and the police.Actively supports the management process of all sports infrastructure. It is an ideal tool to improve the comfort of organizing sporting events, their supervision and prevention.

Constant development

Currently, Axis offers more modern series of stadium network cameras. It is worth indicating at least two solutions.PTZ AXIS Q60 cameras - are intended for the most demanding applications. They provide excellent video image quality thanks to HDTV 1080p resolution and full time -flying.A strong zoom and fast and precise PTZ control make these cameras allow supervision of extensive areas and very good visibility of details at enlargement - which in situations of identification of hooligan acts is particularly important. The Axis P13 series, in turn, guarantees high image quality in all conditions (from 1 MP to 4K).What distinguishes P13 is great photosensitivity, Lightfinder and Forensic WDR technology, as well as flexibility in installation with CS mounting.

Cooperation with local Polish innovators

In the security industry, network and automated solutions become the norm.Axis added value, however, is not only the quality or the wide possibility of integration and optimization in terms of customer needs, but also the ability to use the potential of local enterprises, which allows you to minimize risk and increase the effectiveness of implementation.

The aforementioned MVB company is a proven Axis partner, which shows future investors the most optimal and technologically advanced solutions available on the global IT market - importantly, with a reasonable price. The company has an established position of the service integrator on the market, as evidenced by numerous investments in all over Poland.

Another important Axis partner in stadium supervision projects is also Elstech, which implemented the systems of Dlaklubu Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza and at the City Stadium in Tarnów.The initial assumption in both cases was a high level of safety with full system usability and maximally simple operation.
