The International Atomic Energy Agency has concluded an agreement with Iran on the replacement of control cameras installed at TESA plants in Karadż near Tehran. The plants produce parts for centrifuges for enriching uranium.

"An agreement with Iran on the replacement of monitoring cameras in the Karadż facility is an important step forward for verification and monitoring agencies in Iran," said Maea in a Wednesday communication."This will allow us to restore the necessary continuity of information about this object," Maea added, specifying that new cameras will be installed "on the coming days".

Earlier, the Iranian government consistently refused to conservators of Maea equipment to the plants for several months.

An attack assigned to Israel

One camera was destroyed, and one damaged in June in an attack on the Tesa object, whose perpetrators were not detected.Iran attributed an attack to Israel, then removed all four Maea cameras from there, preventing the agency from further monitoring in the center.

The TESA resort deals with the production of parts for advanced centrifuges - uranium enriching machines.Maea expressed concerns that Iran's refusal to allow equipment conservators there may indicate that work on the construction of a nuclear bomb is taking place there.

Nuclear contract

Nuclear agreement from 2015, known as JCPOA, between Tehran and World Powers, assumed that Iran would not enrich uranium to a level higher than 3.67 percent. In return, international economic sanctions imposed on this country were abolished.

The agreement was to limit the Iran nuclear program and prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons.Iran claims that his atomic program does not serve military purposes.

In 2018, new economic sanctions on Iran were imposed by the then US President Donald Trump, withdrawing Washington from the nuclear agreement with Iran.Another president, Joe Biden, declared his desire to return to the system with Iran.
