Six stationary cameras, a few mobile ones and, additionally, sixty barriers - such new equipment has been added to the city's forests. The devices, which in total cost over PLN 50,000, are to improve security and reduce vandalism.

- First of all, we want to limit the number of cars, motorbikes and quads that unlawfully enter the forest - says Krzysztof Jankowski, manager of municipal forests. - We are also going to catch wood thieves and people who throw rubbish in the forest. But Kowalski doesn't have to worry. We are not going to watch tourists and walkers. We don't even have time for this.

Intelligent cameras inform about what is happening in the monitored area. If they detect the car, they will take a series of photos and send the message about the appearance of the object to the selected e-mail addresses. Therefore, it will be possible to check what is currently happening in the monitored area.
