The shortage of equipment on the heat pump market is being discussed more and more often. As we have already informed, the main reason for shortages on the market is an increase in the number of orders compared to plans, and therefore too much demand in relation to supply. Manufacturers also pointed to delays in deliveries, which translated into the inability to produce complete devices. Internal problems of production plants are also indicated, such as improper optimization of the production process, problems with logistics and still pandemic issues.

The result of equipment shortages combined with very high demand are price increases. We asked a friendly installer about them.

Price increases

The installer confirmed to the editors of Globenergia that the price increases actually result from equipment shortages and exceptionally high demand. If the contractor company has to pay more for the components on which it performs installations, then of course the investor will also feel it, who will also have to pay more for the installations.

He added that the prices of tanks in the first half of the year, compared to the prices in the second half of the year, increased by about 20%, fittings by 15-20%, and the heat pumps by about 20%. Unfortunately, the increase in component prices is accompanied by fuel prices and labor costs.
