The cameras were covered with ceiling panels.After turning off the lighting, one of the staff members saw the infrared light through the gap in the panels, and then found the CCTV camera.It turned out that the staff of the distribution center found more cameras in toilets for men and women - we read in "PT".

Pursuant to the provisions on data protection, in private places - such as changing rooms or toilets, CCTV cameras can only be used in "exceptional circumstances".Employees filed complaints to the management - they were told that the cameras have been in toilets since 2015, but they did not work.

IKEA: Cameras will be removed from the toilets first

"Peterborough Telegraph" contacted Ikea.The company spokesman confirmed that the cameras were placed there in 2015.and the company conducts an internal investigation to determine how the cameras remained there.The spokesman also emphasized that the devices would be removed first.

The newspaper added that several employees were dissatisfied with such an explanation.One was to say: - I've never heard such a thing before.I am fighting to understand this.How could someone think that it was acceptable?There must have been thousands of people whose privacy could have been violated in these toilets ".

Another added: - These were not wireless cameras, there is a whole cable network.

According to "Peterborough Telegraph", several members of the distribution center crew are considering jointly to take legal steps.
